VIPPT is transforming smallholder farming in Eastern Rwanda, improving yields, enhancing soil health, and boosting food security

An ongoing farmer sensitization and training session on Vegetable Integrated Push-Pull Technology (VIPPT), Black Soldier Fly farming, and frass fertilizer utilization. Members of Jikaze Farmers Group in Runyenjes, Embu County, actively engage in learning sustainable agricultural practices aimed at improving pest control, soil fertility, and livestock nutrition. The training, facilitated by ICIPE, equips farmers with innovative techniques aligned with the One Health approach to enhance productivity and resilience in smallholder farming.
